If you are a 2011 BTech or MCA pass-out and still searching for a job, there is somewhat bad news for you. "Nasscom and major Indian IT companies have agreed to spread out their campus hiring over seventh and eighth semesters this year. They have decided to do this considering the significantly higher projected demand for talent and also to overcome the "operational difficulty" in covering hundreds of campuses in a span of two to three months."
This is a step back from the original agreement between the various member companies of Nasscom which had decided last year that they will hire only in the middle or towards the end of the eighth semester.
How does it impact 2011 pass-outs? Lot of companies who will issue offer letters in Sep'11 - Nov'11 to 2012 passouts, would have normally hired 2011 pass-outs in bigger numbers, but now they will hire only for their current demand and not for the future demand.
